The passing of our President and Co-founder, John E Cheevers
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our founder and President, John (Jack) Cheevers. Jack’s dedication to his family, clients and community were second to none. Jack’s service in the military as well as his numerous years as Town of Union supervisor demonstrated his commitment to serving others. In 1974 Jack, along with Art Hand, established the investment firm on Washington Avenue in Endicott. Cheever’s Hand and Angeline has been a fixture in the business community and has served the Triple Cities and beyond for over 40 years.
It is important that we reassure our loyal clients that your accounts will be cared for in the same professional manner that you have experienced in the past. Our capable and dedicated staff has been together for several decades. Our two senior Vice Presidents, Matthew Adler and William Campbell, were partners with Jack since 1999. Matt joined the firm in 1984 and Bill joined the firm in 1996. Mary Serbonich, our operations manager and future partner, has played a key role in the firm for decades and has managed the added workload during Jack’s illness. Matt, Bill, Mary, and our entire team stand ready to serve our customers’ needs.
